Zalloo VoIP

Zalloo.jpg

We recently started a new project at work to cut back telephone costs using Zalloo. Seems like the last phone bill for the 10 trainers combined was a little off the scale...

What is Zalloo? From their website:
"Zalloo is a communication tool which allows you to place phone calls, send SMS and fax messages or chat with one and the same number, from and to any device (mobile, PC, fixed phone, ...) anywhere in the world."

Doesn't seem to be that different from Skype for example but they claim to have the lowest rates, another good thing is that their office is close to ours and they are very responsive to the feedback we give them.
The final goal is that we all get smartphones (iPhone plz!!!) and then use Zalloo to make phone calls instead of using the regular cellphone network. I also got a local phone number (starting with 09/...) with my account so when someone would phone me at this number they would only have to pay local rates, even when I'm on the other side of the world wink

Artpro 9 has been released. It has quite a lot of new features, most of them are the result of the merger between Esko and Artwork Systems.

Here are some of them:

  • Import and export Esko Normalized PDF

  • Native ArtiosCAD (.ard) import and export

  • Native EskoArtwork Flexible Bag (.bag) import

  • viewX

We have now all moved to the Esko building so it was goodby to the UCO tower. I think we will all miss it, I know I will. I took some pictures from the top floor as a reminder.

Greetings from Hungary

Kecskemet.jpg

I'm currently in Kecskemét, Hungary. Not a bad place to be, it's a nice town with some nice bars and restaurants. The weather could be better but it's not worse than back home, in other words: cold and wet.
